The co-operative "Straw weaving studio" was founded in 1988. Today four women are employed part-time. They create hats in the fashion of the Swiss Traditional Costumes.
The shop offers fashionable, modern hats with accessories and all kinds of straw-weaving products. The cooperative's ambition is the conservation of this traditional handicraft.
Not only new hats are sold, but worn hats can also be brought to be fashioned and restored.
Recently the "Straw weaving studio" has become a noteworthy tourist attraction, particularly for groups. On guided visits the team gives all information about the whole working process and you can watch how straw is being weaved.
